Why is vision so important? It helps us understand what we're doing and build value by making the right design decisions.
1. Company level vision
Company vision is the change the company wants to achieve in the world. It's defined by the CEO and flows from the top down to the rest of the company and its teams.
2. Product level vision
Product vision is a future promise to the customer. It's defined by the CPO and is distilled from the global vision down to product vision. For one-product companies, company vision is product vision.
3. Group/component/experience level vision
Defined by the Product manager. All individual groups grow in the same direction, which directly ladders up to the product and company vision.
To make sure we're working towards the same vision:
1. We have to be aware of all the levels of vision in our organizations,.
2. Find out which level we're you operating at.
